I have been to three different cities in two weeks, and Matt and I are officially homeless and "funemployed" until school.
The fun recently began when I flew back to my hometown Shreveport, LA for a bachelorette party and wedding with the Bass - Kilpatrick families. (pics on facebook) It was great trip to see my mom and some friends for a long weekend.
While I was vacationing in good ole S'Port, Matt and some fantastic friends packed up all of the contents of our San Diego apartment and drove a large truck to L.A. for storage at his parents house. Needless to say, my husband is loved and now an expert at Penske truck driving. He then had his last day of work, and joined me and fellow unemployed people.
So with the apartment gone, and no income to speak of, Matt and I have taken up a temporary residency with his parents. We will be spending a total of 9 days there, so dont think my adventure has turned into a Mama's Boy rant.
After organizing the Goldstein garage, attic, bathroom and guest bedroom (thanks again Marcia and David) Matt and I packed our bags for Stanford for an Admit Student Weekend.
This weekend was a series of coffee, cupcakes and lots of shaking hands.(pics also on FB) All in all I think our new student life experience will be a blast - but honestly I was too stoked about the upcoming trip to even consider thinking about next September.
We concluded our long weekend in Northern California and headed back to L.A. for unpack/repack to get ready for....Mardi Gras!!!
Matt and I have just arrive in one of my favorite cities in the world, New Orleans Louisiana. We are prepping for the Thursday parades: Muses (all women parade), Chaos and Babylon. This will be Matts first real parade ever and I cant wait to see him tackle small children for crappy plastic on a string.
More coming soon...
Finally. I've been waiting for your update in like forever! Thanks for the beads! The whole office loves them.
